As to variety, I'm kinda-yes, kinda-no on that. I'd rather just deal with a short spurt of heat in the summer and be DONE with it than have my body on this up and down roller-coaster. I've always felt that I could layer, layer, layer and get warm in winter -- but you can't take OFF enough clothes to get cool in the intense heat! My poor closet is bursting because I still need to keep jumpers and jackets at the ready.
