2nd century BC clockwork computer

Enigmatic objects from ancient times have always piqued my interest and this next item certainly falls into that category.
Discovered off the coast of Greece in 1901, this elegant device may not have ever been used for navigation but, according to a presentation made at the Royal Institution in London last week by Jo Marchant, could have been “Something to elevate the spirit and get closer to God or the true meaning of things.”
